The answer to this question is almost always yes. For less headache, install Windows first, and Linux last. Windows likes to use it's own bootloader, which won't recognize linux. Linux usually uses GRUB, which is a bootloader that can load pretty much everything, Windows included. When you install an OS, it tends to install it's own bootloader, hence, windows first since its bootloader doesn't play nice with other non-Windows OSes.

It all depends if you are capable of getting the games to run in WINE or Play On Linux. If you can do those then I would say to just run Linux.

On the other hand you could run Windows in a virtualbox and play the games that way.

Dualboot but keep in mind that dualbooting from a single disk can be a bit frustrating not saying that it is easier with 2 disks but it definetly is clearer in its setup. And in case you regret it you dont have to go all through al the diskspacemanaging

And for the record playing games on linux still sucks, in terms of setting up wine and basically having a fake virtualization to game on. On the other hand if you like figuring out things in wine to make games run smoother you should try it.

So the answer to you question is NO, but install GNU/Linux anyway its awesome

Short answer, No. Almost any game you would want to play on Linux is available on Windows. The sad truth is that Linux isn't really gaming ready yet. If you where using the operating system for most other reasons (think moms and grandmas, and most cubicle works) then I would recommend Linux over Windows. I love Linux and I'm no fan boy but as a realist theirs many things I would prefer to do on Linux over Windows.

I just favorited a page that Phantom and Zoltan were talking about this.

In my experience I would say yes. While it will take much more configuration to get games to work. I would Dual boot it to give it a try. See how fast and customizable is. Get use to installing things with the terminal or playing with text files like setting up conkys. I dont know if you have this option but one thing I did was kept my PC with windows for games and have Ubuntu for my laptop. There are still a few programs I need to run with windows but for the most part I can do everything with Linux. The only issue i have is games and Zoltan seems to have it down.
