Please Advise on New Upgrades :)

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well! Anyway, I am about to make some upgrades to my computer and am looking for some advice on a few things. The things I plan on Upgrading are: CPU/Processor, SSD(only have mechanical right now), Motherboard, and a new Case.

This is my current Setup:

CPU= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727 (AMD PhenomII 965 Black)

GPU= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161404 (HIS Radeon HD 7870 GHz edition)

MOBO= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157323 (Asrock 960gm FX AM3+ Micro ATX)

Memory= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226224 (Mushkin Enhanced Redline 2x4GB)

HDD= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148767 (Seagate Barracuda 500GB)

And this is what I plan on Getting:

CPU= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286

MOBO= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514

SSD= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147192

Case= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021

So what do you guys think? I have limited knowledge on computers so I wanna make sure I dont mess anything up and that I am picking good upgrades. Because I cant spend more than $500 One thing I was considering was not getting a new/better case at all and just getting the AMD FX-8350 Vishera Black Edition? But then again IDK if my case will fit the new MOBO well since I currently have a Micro ATX board and my case is Mid Tower.

Any and all help and advice is greatly appreciated! I thank each and everyone one of you, and sorry about the amount of Links. :)

Thank you all

-Mike

A mid  tower should fit an ATX board just fine.

I would go with an 8 core CPU, as it isn't that much more.

If you aren't planning to use multiple GPUs, I think you could also go with a cheaper board.

I would go with a 840 Evo or HyperX 3K drive as the real world performance of the 840 Pro isn't worth the price premium.

I don't know that case enough to recommend or criticize it.

Also, a CPU cooler would help as the stock one is pretty shitty.

Wow, thanks a bunch for the advice. Honestly I must say the route/set up you listed is much more economical, especially since you're correct, I don't plan on using multiple GPUs.

So with that being said, do you have any awesome cases to recommend? With that set up you recommend, I could afford to spend a max of $150 on it.

Thanks again

SO as far as Cases, I was thinking about these two instead.

Both are good cases.  I do like the NZXT H440 better, though.
