Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare?

I was looking into pre-ordering pvz garden warfare from origin (https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/plants-vs-zombies-garden-warfare/pc-download/base-game/digital-deluxe-edition-ANW.html) , and I saw the deluxe edition option. Is the deluxe edition worth getting? How difficult is it to get coins?

I'd say that the game itself isn't worth getting..... It's a pretty bland 3rd person shooter in a PvZ skin. There are far better comic-shooters out there and the bit of tower defense that the game has left is not worth mentioning. It's just EA milking another franchise.

Please refrain from buying this game, in adverts it looks just... unbearable to play...

It's definitely going to be a sub-par TPS with TD elements and it's going to likely have buy-able upgrades that break the game for those who pay for it. ]

It will all around likely be easy money in their pockets from gullible parents thinking "hey this looks more appropriate for my child than Call of Duty." If the game was $5, maybe it'd be okay for a "lol look at this game" play for a few hours at most, get bored, and then move on and don't feel super disappointed in dropping $20+ on a game that looks bad at best.

If you're interested in comic shooters and TF2 isn't your thing, there's plenty out there.

Dunno why all the negativity, I think it looks like a shit load of fun at least if you have friends to make it interesting. Have you bothered watching a "Lets Play" of PvZ? Or is this just because its made by EA?

As for the buy-able upgrades, it was brought up to the developers and that isn't at all their intention. Im sure the coins deal is for cosmetic things.

I haven't quite decided whether or not to get it at launch, I might wait for a sale or something.

It's not just the EA thing, the game lacks a soul. Yes, I've watched a few streamers and some reviewers play it. The aim is supposed to be sluggish, the performance on the 360 is absolutely horrible (frame drops, textures plopping in minutes after the map has loaded), there is no background music when playing, there is a total of 2 gamemodes for the actual multiplayer (team death match and the usual conquest), there are just 4 or 5 maps, there are balancing problems (zombies being way OP), it's a complete waste of the frostbite 3 engine, etc.

Nobody's hating on EA here, the game is just so...... average. It probably isn't that bad, but why would you buy a game that is "not particularly bad" if you could actually buy a good game?
