So, BestBuy finally decided to get my GameCom 780 headset to me. Just got the headset today, and I'm already on here writing this review as fast as I can because I'm so pumped about it.
This is honestly the best headset I've ever used in my life. It stomps the Megalodons, puts Sennheiser HD 555s to shame, and the microphone sounds like a $300 studio mic that I use when I'm on the radio.
Oh, and did I mention these sound better than my buddy's Beats? Yeah, hemad

Music is amazing on these!! Deep lows, perfect highs and mids. I'd wear this thing around plugged into my phone if it wasn't only USB. Turn on the Dolby 7.1 and you're in for your first true eargasm.

So far I've only used these in Counter-Strike: Source, but OH MY GOD!! Footsteps are PERFECTLY placed with these headphones along with gunshots, nades, etc. It's only been 4 hours and I've already been banned from two pubs for "wallhacking" because I can prefire like a mofo now.
If any of you know de_dust2 in CS:S, this next fact will surprise you. I was sniping in Long A and heard a nade go off waaay in the distance to my right. Guess where it was? In bombsite B!!

Honestly, the 7.1 in this headset is amazing. And YES, it does truly produce 7.1 with the software. I even ran the audio configuration wizard in windows and I could hear every channel (front left, back right, subwoofer, etc). It's somewhat tight around the ears, but still very comfortable. The build quality is light, yet very sturdy. I think I could throw this across the room a few times and it would hold its ground.
I'll post more about this headset later, but for now I'm done typing so I can get back in game and continue to enjoy this masterpiece.
I used to be one of those guys that said "screw gaming headsets, go buy some good headphones and a mic separately" which at the time was better, but after trying this headset I'm 100% for it. A perfect product in my opinion. It could be priced double what it is now and still be worth it.
looking at getting some ATH-m50's or some beyerdynamic DT770 pro's.
i had some cyber snipa sonar 5.1's but after 3 and a half years, one speaker wire broke (which i fixed by soldering another wire from the speaker to the audio card, outside of the wire casing... ghetto as hell but it worked) shortly after they fell off of my head and one of the subwolfers broke (the speaker coil burned though.... no idea how dropping it broke the coil, but it did)
For all the good things he had to said about it I was expecting them to cost no less than $200. But just $80?! Suh weet! I'll look into getting one of these myself.

Exactly!! I have a pair of amazing stereo headphones that retail at $250 right next to me, yet I prefer these both for music AND gaming.
