Metroid Prime reference aside, this build will be an all white/black build with trace amounts of blue, and will be used for
gaming and streaming and maybe some video editing in the future.
Currently, I already have the storage and will likely install a Linux distro on it but the rest I plan on purchasing over the autumn season. Might also throw in some blue LED strips to make it look fancy :3

Thoughts?
Needs moar white: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JX2YFT
(kidding, that's like 50% more expensive... that build looks v.nice, would get some white RAM though, or the white part of the theme probably won't shine through so much).
Keke. That would look epic though
I was trying to stay somewhat frugal and keep parts that I know we have at our local Microcenter if possible. Besides, the black RAM will show nicely against the blue RAM slots :3
The 120mm will replace the 212 Evo fan
Maybe I will go for the Kingston 1600 white RAM: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-memory-hx316c10fwk216
Groovy, that TC14PE'd be a bit over the top with a locked CPU haha, and that RAM, I'd go for it. The only thing that really bothers me is the lack of white on the mobo. Just feels like it needs moar. That's a touch subjective though and I don't know if there are any decent cheaper H97/Z97 mobos out there. Surely there's something other than that sabertooth board?!
Yep xP
I actually had that cooler in the build before switching it to the 212 Evo to save some money
A white motherboard isn't too important. Actually, I prefer a black motherboard so it would show up nicely against the white case inside. If there were a decently priced AMD card that was all white like that 980, I would be all over that. White parts on a black board would be gorgeous :3
There's always the HOF 970 but that's a 970... and you could get a 390 that'll beat it for the same price or cheaper.
But that 290x is only $260 after the $30 rebate...
I guess the 390 would be worth it at around $300 around Black Friday
Managed to get an MSI Z97S Krait Edition board for very cheap, so now the build is looking more like this:

Dis gonna be good, make a build log topic for it.
Oh, that is a good idea. I shall do so when I have more parts than just the two I do have
Also, I found this beauty
