Hello TekSyndicate I'd like to share with you all an awesome Free to Play game(Not Pay to Win att all.)
Planetside 2 is a MMO FPS done right.
Epic Battles
Battles take place not between dozens of troops, but thousands; with air and ground vehicles slugging it out alongside squads of troops. Whether in open fields, tightly packed urban centers or enormous structures, planning, teamwork and communication are essential.
Global Strategy
In PlanetSide 2 battles can last for days or even weeks, and finally taking control of the base means it's yours until someone can take it back. Working strategically as a team to capture key tactical positions such as power plants and ammo depots have long-lasting effects that can shift the tide of battle. Victory requires strategic teamwork and a quick trigger finger to survive the massive battles.
PlanetSide 2 provides sophisticated communication tools that players need to coordinate and strategize from within and outside the game environments. From our up-to-the-minute, data driven Players site, providing the most relevant stats, map dominance information and more.

I personally think that Planetside 2's business model is evil.
Small things that in Dota2 or TF2 would cost £0.8 or £2 are more like £4-16 (the other way of getting items is to get 1000 cert points (eg, without expensive and short-term boosts about 2500 kills (but other things give you XP as well)
People who have been playing since beta also have a massive advantage due to passive certs such as nano-weave armour and faster shield regeneration etc.
And in the case of vehicles (flying or ground based) you start with sub-par weapon selection. I know they gotta make money somehow, but it should really be purely cosmetics they sell to be a true "free to play" game.
Not to mention how CPU intensive it is, and how bad the textures are (even on ultra) and how bad the anti aliasing you can't override is, and how bad the spawn killing is, and how certain movements pull you out of sights, and how overpowered the skyguard is for small aircraft compared to other things that can shoot you.
The worst part, though, is how much time you WILL put into it if you start, because it's perpetual war and you get to know the other people on there you will NEVER be able to leave and sony will continue to rape your pockets.
The advantages of older player are not as great as you might think. I am low level and can easily take out Battle Rank 100s. (Nanoweave got a nefr btw)
Some of the ground vehicle main weapons are the best TBH. Now I'll admit this isn't the case with Air vehicles.
They recently made some HUGE optimization. Near Release my system (3770k, 7970) Would run ~40 fps in heavy battle on medium. Now I can easly get 50+ on ultra in the same size battles.
Putting time into a game and getting good at it isn't necessarily a bad thing :P
This game... ugh. If I double-tap someone in their center mass, they need to fall down or I stop! fucking! playing!
No need for this crazy/special/thick armour that allows people to take punishing amounts of damage without dying. It's like trying to play Halo all over again.
There was this one INSANE moment where some place in Esamir, we were surrounded by Vanu tanks and no hopes of getting out armor, and they had like a 25 tank armor column and a couple sundies sitting out there spawning people out. We literally just got a bunch of heavy assaults, C4, tank mines, etc. and took out the entire armor column with a footzerg and a whole shit load of explosives. It was freaking crazy. It was also during an alert, and after that we took a tech plant and won the alert.
