Picking the parts

i want to build i gaming pc but i dont know what parts to pick.

this is what i had in mind.

Intel Core i5 3570K $184.66 store pickup from micro centre

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 $134.99

BitFenix Ghost $99.99.

or the EVGA Z77 FTW I dont know if is worth it for $179.99

or the ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 if i get it for a good price.

Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) $40.00

SeaSonic X750 $126.49 or Rosewill CAPSTONE Series CAPSTONE-750-M $126

I have a Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB and 2 more laptop drives (2.5)

maybe get a SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7870 $249.99 when i have the money.

what you know about the Refurbished: Dell Professional Series P2211H for 99.99

Lets see...

Your spending WAY too much on PSUs, even if you needed that much power, which you don't, thats still kinda pricey even for that. Go for a 550W PSU.

Thats a pretty sick price on the i5, good catch. If you're gonna drop the money on an i5, I'd suggest bumping up to a HD7950 or HD 7970 to really see the difference in games. The Extreme 4 is probably one of my more recommended LGA 1155 boards at this price range. You realize your lacking a hard drive right?

Now... not that I'm REALLY recommending this, but its an option you could consider, you could go for this build (posted below) and have nearly the same performance without having to wait to buy that graphics card. That said, I don't know if it would be worth passing up that sick i5 deal.

My local microcenter gives you $40 off the motherboard when you buy a compatible CPU, you should see if yours does also.

Out of the motherboards, I'd probably go for either the ASRock or the Sabertooth, because both of them have an 8+4 phase power design, which is going to be excellent for overclocking. The EVGA only has 7+1 phase power, which probably make that much of a difference, but the other two boards should overclock better. The EVGA board is better for expansion if you're planning on getting three or more graphics cards though; it has more bandwidth on the PCI-E slots because of that PLX chip. The Extreme 4 can also handle faster ram than the Sabertooth, or at least that's what their spec sheets say.

I would personally get ram with lower timings, but you probably won't even notice the difference anyway, so if you're on a budget and don't want to spend more on ram then you don't have to.

I would definitely go with the Seasonic over the Rosewill.

The 7870 is a solid GPU.

I don't know anything about that monitor, but I personally wouldn't buy it. I don't like buying refurbished items, and I'd like to see a lower response time, although you might not notice the difference with that either.

The case isn't really my style, but it's supposed to be a nice case. Good choice if you like it.

im trying to build the best computer for the money soo if there are parts that perform better for the money just tell me.

i want a 750w psu so them when i get more parts is going to be able to handle it.

what ram u recommend ?

thanks 4 the help,

If you want to save on the PSU, you can go XFX or NZXT Hale80 or HALE90. They are all good.

As for the system, I agree with what Vortex is saying. I would recommend looking for a less expensive 7870. You can find them for under $200. The HIS ICEq that I am using is awesome and it was $200.

thanks...

how much power u think im going to need on my psu?

i dont know if going for the asus p8z77 v lk is a good choice and i hate the blue on it.

sooo what u guys say ?

yes

also you can get a rosewill  green series 630w for 49.99, green, capstone and fortress are good rosewill brands

how much power do a need for my for my build and what mod and psu and video card u recommend?

can u tell me what parts u will use in this case.

i was thinking on getting a cheap or used gaming laptop.

what u guys think?

im chaging the build from a 750w to a 600-650w semi or fully modullar.

Simply put:  NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO It was the worst purchase I've ever made.

ASUS P8Z77-V LK vs ASROCK Z77 EXTREME 4   OR WHAT U RECOMMEND?

Cut down on the Caps Lock.

Seasonic X650 is 99 dollars at newegg at the moment. At that price it's a steal. It's practically the best you could get for that kind of money. I'm pulling my hair out right now as I don't live in the States and can't get my hands on one of those for that price. With 650 watts you could easily run even a power hungry 7970 with overclock.

Get the Asrock Z77 Extreme4. Asus has skimped on a lot of things on the P8Z77-V LK, so it's not worth the money. The Sabertooth and EVGA models are way too expensive for the stuff they have to offer.

i just found the Corsair Carbide Series 300R Windowed with a free Corsair Air Series AF120 for $80 without $10.00 Mail-in Rebate Card

should I get the bitfenix?

n the OCZ ZT Series 750W Fully-Modular 80PLUS Bronze for $80 without  $20.00 Mail-in Rebate Card

should i get the x650?

can someone help me with a good memory ram,
