I play video games and stream. I play tf2 competetively in ESEA and desire maximum frame rates for fluidity and most up to date information. Otherwise, just a little bit of everything gaming wise. I recently got Adobe Master Suite for free from University so I might start dabbling in that as well. I will be adding in a 660 ti or 670 (I have EVGA bucks and want nvidia for 2D lightboost mode).
What graphic cards would you want to use? A Nvidia or a AMD? since you don't have one I am curious :p and the builds look good and all you need is a good graphics choice, how much money do you have to spend on a gpu?
It all boils down to what you like better, AMD or Intel.
Edited OP. I don't have any AMD/Intel bias, in the past I would have gone intel but the 8350 seems to be decent competition. I will be getting a nvidia gpu so I can use the 2D lightboost "hack." Can spend $300, maybe $400, so it is between 660ti and 670.
I didn't list a GPU because I have a decent amount of EVGA bucks and was just looking to see how much $$ w/o gpu it would be
Give me a budget. It'll make a plan for me for a Build Your Own PC Video. Which I really need to get back to doing
Mine is about $900, but this is excluding storage and windows as I have that lying around, so if you wanted to make it an all inclusive build you could add some room for that.
How big is the hard drive you have laying around and what do you plan on using this rig for?
1TB, gaming + streaming, engineering software (Autodesk Inventor, Matlab, Solidworks, Mathematica), some light photo/video editing.
So I'll work on a $900 all around rig. I might cheap out on the case just as a warning.
Awesome, thanks. That's cool, I'll still splurge a tad on the case though :P
I'll try to have the video done this weekend. I'll get the planning stage done tonight and tomorrow night, record friday night, edit then upload on saturday
