I need a phone upgrade from my old 2g nokia, as ATT will be killing off the 2g network soon, and when I went to the att store to get an upgrade, there were only 5 options essentially. Apple, Nokia WP, Samsung, and HTC. All of them except the htc m7/8 and iphone are plastic feeling. I really liked the motorola maxx's kevlar back. I'd be willing to buy off contract if it's under $350 or so.
I guess what i'm trying to ask is are there any phones that will be coming to att or that i'm looking over that tout build quality? Would project ara be worth waiting for?
From personal experience, I'd have to recommend HTC, especially the M7/8 just due to the aluminium body. I've had mine dragged along the concrete, fallen in the toilet and out of windows. It still works great! Iphones will smash if they're dropped on grass (happened to me) So I'd definitely go with the aforementioned brand if you're happy spending the money.
Is the battery user replacable?
No, but in the time I've had one, and others around me; it seems to last longer than other phones. Some other phones have to have theirs replaced all the time. I'm sure you'll get a warranty with it.
