and that is a IVY version of that so the FPS will be a bit higher
if you can give me a budget I can make a amazing list with things you THOUGHT you couldn't afford
the thing is is that i need to keep things on the cheap side
are the i3s better than the 965?
an ivy i3 is 3220 but if you can tell me how much you are willing to spend I really can make something you thought you couldn't afford
450
no os
log in, add items to cart, then input the promo codes the $10 one on the i3 ends today
I'll look into a AMD build but considering amd's best CPU is going toe to toe with intels mid range CPUs in the long run it would be best to go with intel because all you have to do if put a ivy i5 or i7 down the road if the i3 starts to not cut it
Thanks!!
eh I just now got newegg build making optimizations down pat I know that site like the back of my hand so its really not hard, I like to do things manually
anyway if you don't care about future proofing and willing to overclock a bit this will perform better, again you can't upgrade it any further besides GPU down the road
change the voltage to 1.45v, change the CPU multiplier to 20 and bam 4Ghz, the cooler can handle it I've done it before on that cooler, all phenoms sold today are C3 revisions which all can OC to at least 4Ghz easy

for less then 10 bucks more then the stock newegg deal.
I woiuld jump on the CPU but not the heatsink the 212+ is a better cooler for overclocking
8120 is just like the 2500k, yes it is 6-12 fps slower but its £50 cheaper lol
check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1jrZKDJSMk
ya the FX-8120 is the best bet for the cash. its going to distroy the DUAL CORE i3...I mean, comeon the Fx 6200 distroys it in almost every thing! http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/core-i3-ivy-bridge_6.html
your other option is to ebay (at your own risk) an i5 2500k
yes a FX6200 beats an i3 at winrar and other multithreaded applications(which apparently means things like games which only use 2-3 threads except the rare occasion)
that is why this is a thing

howabout the Phenom II x6 1090T? They still around if you can find one.
The 965 will run circles around a 1090T in gaming for much less.
If you want a solid CPU that will play just about anything well, grab an x4 965. They are solid and cheap. Not very future proof, but this way you can save some cash for a better graphics card etc
the 1090T is once again better with heavily threaded applications, games on the otherhand tend to preform slightly better
yeah if you don't care about upgrading your CPU just get a 965 and a Cooler master Hyper 212+ and OC to 4Ghz
... and watch the power consumption explode? No, thanks ... . I´d pass on that.
