Phenom II x4 965 3.4GHz still a good CPU?

I currently have an Athlon II x4 650 3.2GHz and in need of an upgrade. The MOBO I'm getting is AM3+ and was wondering if the Phenom II x4 965 is still good for only being slightly less than $100, or should I get one of the newer AMD processors for ~$150 or so? I'd like to stick with AMD as my GPU is AMD and I'm OCD like that, but if there is a decent Intel CPU for around $100, I may consider it.

FX6300 would be a good option for you, use the extra money for a cheap cpu cooler.

Phenom II fits into the ~$100 price point (literally), i vote 6300 :D
