Phenom 810 $15 or 955 $50

I asked for help on a similar topic here: https://teksyndicate.com/forum/cpu/decent-am3-place-holder-cpu/181250#comment-1733169

but do to things I had not planed for, my budget was spent on other things...

So I ask now,

Should I get a Phenom II x4 810 for $10-15 and a PRIME SD1484 cooler

or

a Phenom II x4 955 for $40-50 with the original heatsink

I can overclock with the base clock, so it doesn't necessarily need to be a BE...

thanks for any more advice (I'm a tard :/)

I also should add that I may get the Prime cooler for free...just a chance...

not sure if that changes anything.

Id go 810, then you can spend more money elsewhere like a used ssd.

I don't really need an SSD...I boot in 15 seconds on a regular harddrive...but interesting thought...

I'm leaning towards the 810 simply for the cost, but am unsure if there was/is any negative to choosing so (other than the slightly lower clock...but honestly...I'm on FM1, so anything will be faster)

also, should I get a PRIME SD1484 or a CNPS10X OPTIMA?

I see conflicting reviews on them...I would think the Prime would be quieter with bigger fans...but the Optima looks like it may cool better?

I'd say go for the 810. For $15 I think that's a really good buy.

okay, woot-

then that is a definite yes.

now I am thinking about the cooler...just because AMD chips get toasty...

Okay-so the 810 was sold before I could get it

So I just settled with a 720, IT'S STILL A HELL OF A LOT BETTER THAN WHAT I'M USING NOW THOUGH-

I don't game, so with some Overclocking, I'll satisfied with it for a while...I'll probably move to intel if amd doesn't release another cpu soon...
