It's basically just a redundant firewall in front of the network at that point.

Out of interest why the need for the bridge setup? Have you considered using Powerline adapters if in the same building?

YeaIi know it sucks but wireless bridges are more for temporary get the job done til cable gets run or whatever. Cable is always the way to go for long term production.
