Personal Recommendations

If anyone is into adult fantasy (sounds kind of kinky), I would highly recommend the following books:

The Thomas Covenant Chronicles by Stephen Donaldson

A total of 10 books of which the first one was published back in 1977. Truly amazing books that are captivating, to say the least. The last book is expected to be released later this year.

The Axis Trilogy & The Wayfarer Redemption Trilogy by Sara Douglass

These books rely heavily on myths and mysteries from milennia past. I find it quite astounding how magic can be portrayed in such a mature manner; unlike novels such as Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl etc.

Now for those of you that prefer Heroic/Historical Fantasy Novels:

The Troy Series by David Gemmell

An epic trilogy featuring well-known characters such as Prince Hector of Troy, King Priam, Agamemnon, Odysseus and of course Achilles, the demigod. However, the characters are portrayed in a very different light compared to the movie Troy.

PS: I am so sick and tired of bland and insipid novels from your run-of-the-mill authors like Stephen King, Dan Brown, John Grisham, Michael Connelly and Daniel Silva. People need to start reading classics again and just good books in general. I sincerely hope someone finds a book series to their liking in the aforementioned suggestions.
