I’m considering upgrading my storage setup with a Solid State Drives/NVMe E3.S SSD/7.68TB-RI-2.5Inch (Solid State Drives/NVMe E3.S SSD/7.68TB-RI-2.5Inch). Has anyone here had any experience with this specific SSD?
I’m particularly interested in:
The performance and reliability of this SSD in high-demand scenarios.
Any noticeable improvements in read/write speeds compared to other SSDs.
Optimal use cases for this type of drive.
Compatibility with various systems and potential setup challenges.
Any insights, experiences, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
I don’t see a specific model or link – welcome to the community, new members can’t post links immediately – did you have a model in mind?
For general enterprise-class NVMe drives, there’s also the choice between read-heavy, write-heavy and balanced drives to match the expected patterns from your use case. VM’s and busy databases might want balanced or write-heavy devices, but other circumstances might call for mostly-read patterns, so you should profile a test system before architecting a larger more-expensive system.
