Pentium G3258 vs AMD Kaveri 7700K

Hi i currently have an A10-7700K and i am looking to upgrade would the pentium be faster, or i am better off looking at a used sandy/ivy i3

I dunno about stock speed, but if you overclock the pentium tp 4.5ghz it'll perform about the same as a haswell i3, maybe better if you really overclock it and push the limits.

yeah but z97/87 mobos are expensive

You keep making threads about the same topic.

Anyway, the A10 is fine with the 7950, for the most part. The CPU might throttle it in some games, but not enough to warrant an immediate upgrade. You're fine for the foreseeable future. Plus, HSA could be promising.
