PCIe USB controller for VFIO passthrough

Can anyone recommend a PCIe-USB adapter card that they have found to be reliable. My StarCom Renesas based USB card died, system stopped booting until I removed the USB card.

So I am looking for a new PCIe to USB card. Preferably 4 USB ports, USB2 is fine I just have a Schiit Fulla 3 and controller plugged in permanently and a handful of other devices (camera, programmers, debuggers, etc) that I would like a port or 2 for. Have a PCIex1 and PCIex16 (via PCH on x570) are both available so x1, x4 or x8 are all options, but will only really get x4.

look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Osx0K-4w1g

Hmmm, video won’t load. Came across a similar looking card if not the same one and was curious about it.

quad-controller card with great IOMMU separation
Was he able to get each USB controller/port into a separate IOMMU Group?~

Thanks for the suggestion. Look into that some more. But that already looks far better than any Starcom or Orico card for the money.

[EDIT] Got video to load, yeah that looks great and the price is like half the “competing” StarCom.
