So i just put this together, and i think its the processor and the motherboard. I think its the version of the bios, but my computer will not turn on. Any thing i can do to fix this? I can't afford to replace theses.
I know my friend bought a AM3+ motherboard that did not support his FX processor so he bought a cheap $30 athlon and updated the bios and swapped out the CPU to the FX. All was well after this.
If not, pull all the ram sticks out and test them individually (put the stick in, test for boot) and repeat until you've tested them all. If it doesn't boot, I got nothin' for ya.
That board has a 760g northbridge which is a Vista era part. This board was made more for Athlon IIs and Phenoms.
If the board isn't turning on then it's going to be an issue with power delivery. If it's turning on but not POSTing then it could be a BIOS issue or your components aren't seated properly.
Make sure everything is plugged in all the way, if you're getting multiple beeps re-seat your RAM and GPU. If that's not working then install a BIOS update onto a flash drive and use the EZ flash update to fix.
