PC won't turn on but motherboard lights suggest it is fine?

I've just built a new PC and it turned on perfectly when I first tried it, I then moved onto installing windows and got to the 'Expanding Windows Files' bit, was a bit slower than a remember but was doing it fine anyway, but then the computer just turned off and if you try to press the power button, nothing happens. I have a Ethernet cable plugged in and the lights show that is has power. Also there is a green light on the motherboard suggesting to me that it is fine. I am a bit stumped at this, I've built many computers and then have all worked fine and I have never come across a problem like this before. Any ideas guys?

Just a quick rundown of the specs just in case:

Intel Core i5 3470

ASUS P8Z77-M

Nvidia GeForce GTX 650Ti

Corsair XMS3 RAM 8GB (2x4GB) @ 1600MHz (showed up as 1333MHz in BIOS)

Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD

Zalman Z9 Case

XFX Pro Series Core Edition 450W PSU

I would also assume maybe shy on the power supply?  It looks like there is on-board video, try taking out the video to see if it follows through?  Hopefully I'm right, wouldn't want different kind of hardware issue (knock on wood). GL

Thanks, it does seem to be the power supply as it works without the graphics card power plugged in. The GPU seems fine still anyway, even without power pluged in, when I turn the pc on, the gpu fan has a quick spin, so that suggests to me that it has not been damaged.

Anyway, I've bought a new PSU, it is 550W this time and it is also the same PSU that I use in my own personal gaming system that powers a i5 2500k and GTX 560Ti, since 3rd gen 'i' processors and 600 series graphics cards should be more power efficient and use less of it, it should work (hopefully) :)

Always check the ram also.  If it is not installed properly or sometimes the motherboard and the ram have compatability issues.  Just a thought.
