PC won't boot

Okay so I just built my pc and it wont boot. The motherboard has power and the motherboard power button is bright orange. I have looked up what I could try to fix this such as putting memory in different slots, using only one memory stick, using only one hard drive connected, and making sure everything is plugged in. All of these I tried to no avail. So far I ahve narrowed it down to two possible problems.

1.When I first installed the cpu and cooler, I put in the cpu the wrong way (I know this may be a big problem) and realized I did so while flipping through the motherboard manual. After freaking out a bit, I took the cooler off and all the pins looked to be in order. I reinstalled the cpu and cooler and tried to boot and did not boot.

  1. I still dont have my graphics card yet as it is being shipped to me. I read this may cause the pc to not boot but my processor i believe has integrated graphics so I didnt think it would be a problem (intel i5 4690k). Could it still not boot?

Thanks for any help guys

did you install a operating system

I can't the pc will not turn on, nothing appears on my monitor even though its connected. Can'r even get into bios

Installing an Intel cpu around the wrong way then attaching the cooler (= pressure) is very bad indeed as they can only go 1 way. High likely hood of socket damage and/or cpu damage. Both of which you will have close to zero chance of successful RMA.
Test the cpu in another board.

i know, already stressed the fuck out about it

I dont have another board to test on as this is my first build

if it doesnt even go to bios then its your cpu. you probably dropped it in wrong or breathed on it wrong. i agree check it in other boards. make sure its compatible first. and if it doesnt work then you damaged it.

is it amd or intel

Intel i5 4690k

thats right sorry. check the board to see if a pin is bent. if it is you can attempt to bend it back ive done this before many times but i have expirence. your best bet if a pin is bent is to return the motherboard or something
