I currently have a entry level pc, I have a A10 5800K, a GTX660 SC and 8gb ram 1600. I play heavily modded minecraft and stream it. My current problem is that my processor has to much load on it and can't Handel all of it. I want to upgrade to a cpu but don't want to spend more then $450. I want a cpu that can take ALOT of cpu load and can run games well, at least better then the 5800K!
im looking at the 4820K currently but can't seem to find what would be the best for me!
I wouldnt recommend the socket 2011 because you will have to get the motherboard and etc and its more expensive.
Get one of these:
Xeon: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2iaY8
i5-4670k: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/12n2G
i7-4770k: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/12eQi
Any of these would be a big upgrade over your current. I would probably go with the i7-4770k setup and do a mild overclock around 4.2-4.4. As high as I could get without increasing the voltage too much.
** I did assume you, you had ram you could re-use. If you use socket 2011, then you would need to get quad-channel ram.. and 4 sticks of it.. thats kinda the point of that chip... and the performance isn't all that higher over the i7-4770k unless you are running a massive ram drive.
If you want to stream upgrade to an FX 8320 or an FX 8350 they have a much better price to performance ratio compared to socket 2011 setups. If you really want to go Intel you can use the GPU on the 4670k or 4770k chip to encode your streaming video using Quick Sync.
