Hi Everyone
Well First Things First i wanna upgrade my pc i need help getting the most bang for my buck and to make sure am not doing something i shouldnt
What i have right now
Motherboard: MSI 760GM-P34(FX) (MS-7641)
CPU: AMD FX-8320
RAM:16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 800MHz
GPU:4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series - R9 270X
CASE: CYBERPOWERPC Cooler Master- I believe its a full tower
Okay so a couple days ago i was messing around in the bios and i messed up big time and had to reset the bios by removing the cmos battery and putting it back now when i turn on my computer then screen sometimes wont connect to the tv and the keyboard wont turn on (btw i have a keyboard that lights up) and i have to restart the pc through the power button it always connects the 2nd time. If anyone knows why this happens it would be a huge help.
What I wanna Upgrade to or just Buy I will put a number next to each section which will be my spending limit for that item if you know of a better replacement please let me know

RAM: For the Ram i dont really have a link i wanna get something with the maximum amount on the new motherboard which is 32g so 8gb sticks would be great I rather not spend alot on ram but they all seem expensive, sooo $300 is my limit for a total of 32gb
Oh i forgot to add that i wanna overclock CPU 4.0ghz
is the ram rated @ 800 MHz? never seen that in DDR3... 1333 is the lowest I've seen... if you don't mind... shut down, pull a stick of ram out and write down the manufacturers codes.... search that and see what you've got...
800MHz is a DDR2 ram speed, but 760 boards supprt DDR3 so that doesn't add up... that motherboard is terrible, but beyond that... I'm curious as to what you have...
Perhaps he is looking at CPU-Z which shows the actual frequency since RAM is Double Data Rate it doubles the displayed speed
i.e. 1600MHz
Or her is an example of my 1866MHz RAM which is displayed at 931MHz

I Used Piriform Speccy to get all spec
makes more sense... there's a lot of shenanigans that could lead somebody to post such a thing
I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this! :D
it say Rocksoul or Racksoul RAM didnt open it cause am on the pc am talking about right now i have a laptop but my area dosent permit things being open right now :P
Under Speed In CPU-Z
Max Bandwidth PC3-12800(800MHz)
I checked on my laptop to it says the same thing is there a way to check my speed accurately

This would be my upgrade list... I just kind of pieced your current system based on given specs (it's likely not perfect, feel free to correct it when you know more that I was given)... you will definitely need a PSU upgrade for crossfire... I HIGHLY recommend an aftermarket CPU cooler... the motherboard I listed is fantastic... it would serve you well to find out exactly what model GPU you have and buy the same, but it's not ENTIRELY necessary, as any 270x will crossfire... highly recommend an SSD... the Corsair Force LS is a good not awesome one with on par with anything reads and decent writes...
ASUS R9 270X Graphics Card - Radeon R9 270X, 4 GB GDDR5
So i basically get another one of these
I would suggest getting the same brand/model.... yes
Btw whats crossfire, the way u mention it i guess that is what will let my two GPU works together if that is what it is then is their anything i need to do to make sure its set up properly
alright thnx for the list and your time this is way more reasonable than what i was about to do lol
Thank you very much
Crossfire will require some tinkering with to run games right and get it working properly... it's a bit of a pain in the ass in some cases... but when working right, it scales fairly well... but yes... crossfire is the act of two AMD GPUs working simultaneously... you'll have to look it up by individual title to see how to set it up appropriately and/or if it works with that particular title...
Actually... thank YOU for being active enough to respond back with necessary information... and good luck with the build... if you have spare money and want a better SSD... the Samsung 840 EVO will serve you well... the Corsair I recommended is excellent for the price though, and I doubt you'll notice the extra write the Samsung provides
I will say, that case is amazing... enjoy, especially for the price :)
Do you think a 750 PSU will be enough for 4 8gb RAM and to the two GPU's and CPU that am gonna overclock to 4.0GHz ?
It's more than you need...
