i have been having ram issues with my PC :
windows 10 for some strange reason been hogging 6.9gb of ram .....plese help!!!
im using igfx but it is only set to use 1gb of my ram
specs:
AMD Athlon 5350 at 2.05 Mhtz
8gb ram
asus am1-a motherbord
Is it using 6.9gb at idle after first boot up? Are you using the Samsung magica software for ram boost?
That seems high. I believe my windows 10 pc around at around 3gb or less of ram usage after boot.
I have noticed that Edge will eat up some SERIOUS ram, like 17gb one time with a couple of tabs open. (I have 32gb of ram). I have since switched to chrome.
it is letting me only use 1.93 gigs of ram and the apparent bios has allocated the 6.9 gb and i only use 1 tab at a time on crome with near no applocations open....... i dont use any ram boost sotwere
Ram that is not used is a waste. I dont see a problem unless the ram is not freed up for programs like games when needed.
PC users have this believe that ram needs to be free when in fact every bit of ram should be used as cache for files to speed up your machine.
Are you getting out of memory errors or lots of disk swapping ?
Seems like it's probably allocated to something but not necessarily being used. What's your RAM usage do if you open up a program that requires it?
