So after using AMD for a while I'm planing the jump over to intel. Here is the build http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/DRBw7P
So what do you guys think?
Former build was
- 8320
- 990FXA-UD3
- some random ram that is Orange

I'd sell the Gtx 660 you already have and buy a Gtx 770, R9 280x or R9 290. Otherwise I agree :)
GTX 660 SLI in some games that i have seen can push up to the GTX 780 area. not gonna sell them soon.
Can you not use your old RAM sticks?
Also, the i7-4790k is being released in a couple days. Might wanna wait for that.
I'm fairly certain GTX 660 SLI will not reach GTX 780 speeds. I would expect GTX 680 speeds. However, you do have these cards already, right? If you have em, just keep em.
Again the ram was orange and that doesn't match my new red colour scheme.
And i have seen a few benchmarks for the 660's and they scale really well from what i've seen.
is there a valid reason for such upgrade like games you cant run or something like ask your self do you need to upgrade the 8320 is a great chip just spend the money on a ssd or something just my tought last time i upgraded my rig i realize it was a waste of money later on so think about it
Well yes I am doing the video editing for a group I am in so I need the speed for that + am3+ is dead and I'm never buying an APU.
also i did just get a 240gb sdd
The performance will improve, but probably not by a whole lot. The FX-8320 is an incredible value for money.
Also, you could probably put in your previous two sticks in the system to run 4x4GB. Video rendering requires a lot of RAM. However, I guess you'll have to live with different colored RAM sticks if you do this.
paint the ram
i say just build an editing rig with a xeon.
I really enjoy overclocking.
