SO… It’s done. I frankensteined a DELL STUDIO 435t/9000 XPS and it works fine. Not really my choice of case to transfer the motherboard to but it was the case my daughter wanted. Alas, there’s no room for an internal card reader. She didn’t seem to care about that though. She insisted on the case of her choice and after all, it was her motherboard and PC. The biggest problem was the PSU because the case wanted it on the bottom and the motherboard was designed for the PSU on top. It is a bit of a step down from the case it originally came in but that case was so badly damaged in shipping something had to be done. Pictures pending if anyone is interested to see them.
