PC does not recognize OS on SSD

This morning my PC booted up and the bios screen appeared and then thats it. Black Screen. Naturally I tired everything I could. First i checked for errors on my motherboard (asus 990fx pro 2.0, it has red leds to tell me if there is a hardware error.) there were none. Next i booted into UEFI and see if it recognized the ssd and it did recognize the ssd bootloader and when I set that to first on my boot, it still didn't work. Then I Slapped in my windows repair CD and it found no windows boot option on the ssd. Right now I am on Ubuntu booted from an usb... an idea on how to fix this? I can even access the files on the ssd right now on ubuntu and it has everything needed to boot to windows 7. dont tell me i need to reinstall windows 7...

This actually happened to me last week with my Mushkin Chronos 240GB SSD where it would not boot from it and the BIOS said it was Disabled.

I just reset the CMOS battery and it showed up again in the BIOS as a bootable drive. Try that out.

Just reset your bios to default. Same thing was happening to me a while back. WIndows would not recognise the disk and said I had to change my UEFI settings. While pulling the CMOS battery and reinstalling it WILL work. You can do it right from the BIOS without having to remove/install anything.
