I am building this desk for my nephew. I am almost done, just need to sand down the front edge and apply one more layer of finish.

Is that piano black lacquer?
Its Epoxy finish. Its a mess to work with but can have awesome results.
The color is just airbrush paint with the Epoxy finish over it.
All I can imagine is the amount of fingerprints it looks like it would attract.
I love super glossy black finishes, but the fingerprints it attracts make me cry a little inside.
This is awesome. You should include pics when your nephew has it completely set up and operational.

LOL very true!! Fingerprint city!! The finish can be anything from high gloss to almost a dull flat. I just had a bunch of the gloss on hand so that's what it got. A new batch of it is expensive.
That's a good idea! His mom will love that..... he will have to clean his room so i can take pics! LMAO!

Is that a gigabyte sticker or something?
It's actually an old gigabyte heat sink I inbedded in the finish. I'll get some more pictures put up of it.
