PC crashing on driver install

My PC (GTX 780) was crashing when playing games and so I uninstalled my driver's. However when trying to re install them it crashes after 1 minute and gives this BSOD. Any ideas on how to fix?
Thanks

whats the bsod error code? also is the 780 overclocked? windows i assume? rest of the specs?

nvlddmkm.sys
Shouldn't be overclocked, unless it was out of the box
CPU - Intel 4670k Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H RAM - Kingston HyperX 8GB GPU - EVGA 780 Case - Fractal Design Define R4 Storage - 2TB WD Black, Samsung 840 Evo 128GB PSU - Corsair RM650

according to google this happens a lot.

Actually never mind previous edit I do have the nvidia folder but cannot find that file under system32/drivers

Tried to expand the file it says and this happens
Expanding nvlddmkm.sy_ to nvlddmkdm.sys.
Can't open output file: nvlddmkdm.sys.
NVM fixed this now with admin cmd, lets see if it works

Nope, that didn't work unfortunately. Still got BSOD while installing drivers

try opening up the case and checking to see if the fans are running. 780's get hot and if their is a heat problem the gpu will shut down and windows may mistake the crash for a driver issue.

Fans are spinning just fine and it:s always around 1 minute into install that PC crashes, so I don't think that's the issue

ok try f8 on boot then "load last known good config" then safemode if that doesnt work.

I have two GTX 760 (SLI) and the update in December absolutely destroyed my computer . it was so bad I had to reinstall Windows 10. Exact some error.

I did a partial reset that kept my day but is still not working so I am going to back everything up and get some older drivers
Then probably dual boot linux

Might even be an hardware problem, but I really hope for you it's not. I say this because I used to have a 6870 and it broke in a weird way. The card, when drivers are installed, will screw the resolution of the monitor and, in general, won't accelerate any graphics. So your issue might be something similar. Try to boot into Linx and see if you have the same issues or if someone online has having the same issue with those drivers and the 780.

My windows stopped botting even after full re install and so I tried my integrated graohics and everything is fine. So pretty sure it's a hardware issue, i am contacting EVGA but my warranty just ended last month :(

Nvidia drivers have been odd lately. I have had 2 instances for sure over the past 4 months or so where they just wouldn't install properly if I decided to use clean installation or whatever. Choose express installation and see if that works. Also I must say I am on Windows 7 64 bit so a different situation than you in some ways but thought I'd share as it may help.

Thanks for everyone's help, pretty sure it's hardware related and so I will try to get an RMA

I'm really sorry to hear that. I guess I spotted the issue unfortunately. I hope EVGA will be kind enough to accept the card for RMA.
