PC Build

I am looking to build a PC after i had just sold my PS4. I have a budget of $650 and i'm looking to get the most out of my money.

Here are a couple that two of my friend suggested. Are these any good? If so which one is better. If you don't think these are any good please feel free to share what you would do if you were me.

Friend 1 Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/v3kHpg

Friend 2 Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mQzXMp

Tiny bit over but a better balanced system than either of those.

Yet another option ... not that there was anything wrong  with Derkrieger's build. ... This is just another way to get there for $600

The first build is laughable. Pentium CPU with that powerful graphics card... No. The 6300 with 280 is the sweet spot. You can try finding 8320 and try to find 280 both on sale or something... But yes, 6300 and 280 is great option... 285 being better option for Mantle and True Audio and stuff...

The 860k should be available now and would be stronger than the 760k.

Without Windows it would be 90 bucks cheaper. I am running windows 8.1 without activation just fine atm (I have a key).

the first build is best ---> http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BHzpD3 just changed the case to a prettier one ( my opinion ) and removed the win 8 .

And added CPU cooler , you really want one :D

This is a good build, but I would try to fit a 8320/8320E into the budget. This thing would last longer. But I have the 6300 myself, I can recommend it, but 8320 is better.

Yeah, I can do without buying Windows. I have windows 7 on a flash drive that I can put on there

Yeah these are two builds that my Friends built for me. Trust me, we had a long discussion about the first build.

It hasnt yet, which is frustrating as hell since I've been helping a friend put together a build that will use the 860k.  Supposedly it will be out by the end of September/ beginning of October.

This is the way to go

I like it ... May be the best one

Looks good to me. Although I do prefer the WD drives over the Seagate ones.

@ DK .... WD compared to Seagate is a minor variable in the overall scheme.

However after further thought ...I do have issue with the 97 series mobo ... and I believe this final offering is bare minimum for a somewhat future proof gamer in this platform. And it will not need big ticket purchases to stay relevant within a few years. With very light cutting of any important corners. Quality components with the possible exception for the case. The PSU has headroom for adding storage and an SSD in the future. It would make an excellent entry level gamer.

Just a heads up, on the second build, you'll cook the motherboard with that CPU. Theres no heatsinks on the VRMs.

And i like Obstinated's build so far the best.

yes but he is $37 over budget using sub standard PSU and mobo is a 97 series instead of a fx99  ... so at $65 over with superior quality parts ... making my last entry is the logical choice.

and DerKriegers build included an OS othewise he could have achieved optimal specs while staying in budget. (with the exception of the  97 series mobo)

Yeah ... my cousin works for MS and he got me 4 copies of 7 ultimate 32&64bit for $ 45 each ...  makes me very happy      :)

I want to see it !
