Hi, I am a console gamer looking to move to PC gaming and I have a budget of US$1800 and I would just like some recommended specs for my PC- thanks!
this might help you with some parts you want to get for that price, depend if you need an os, monitor and mouse/keyboard.
You could get a lot for that budget.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor. Pretty overkill especially just for gaming. With a budget like this, you can really make this computer last quite a long time with this CPU.
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler. If you ever decide to overclock, this will allow you to get pretty good temps with a decent overclock.
MOBO: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard. SLI/Xfire capable, overclockable chipset.
RAM: PNY 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory. More than you need for gaming, but will be helpful in the future.
SSD: A-Data Premier Pro SP900 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk. Put your OS and programs/games on here. Everything will feel really snappy.
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive. Simple 1TB drive. If you feel you need more, pick up a 2TB drive for ~20 bucks more.
GPU: PNY GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card. If you ever decide to upgrade, get another one of these. If you don't want to spend any more money on your computer in the future, get 2 GTX 770s and put them together in crossfire.
WiFi Adapter: Rosewill N600PCE 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter. Has 5ghz(somewhat rare), and 2x4ghz(more common) capabilities. If you need WiFi capability, that is.
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (White) ATX Mid Tower Case. Quiet case, good airflow, and has a window.
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750B BRONZE 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply. SLI Capable, lots of wattage. You can try looking for a "80 PLUS GOLD Cert" if you want. It'll run with less heat due to higher efficiency.
ODD: Asus BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer. Typical optical drive if you need it.
