Hello,
I have never in my life built a PC and have always stuck to pre-built ones or Macbooks. I wanted to have somewhat of a challenge of building my own PC. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would go over the specs of what I have ...
AMD (Piledriver) FX-8320 3.50GHz (4.00GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 8-Core Processor - Retail
GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3 AMD 970A (Socket AM3+) ATX Motherboard
ARIAnet Hydra Black Midi Tower Gaming Case
750W ARIAnet ACE Xtreme Series Power Supply
Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB 1600Mhz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Module Kit
EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti SSC 2GB GDDR5
TP-Link 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter [TL-WN851ND]
LG 24x Internal DVDRW GH24NS95
SATA Black Bare with m-Disk Support
1TB Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 3.5" SATA III Hard Drive - HDD
Thank you in advance for the help. The build goes a little over the budget of £500 for a computer to handle some small-time coding but was mainly put together for playing games.
Grab a 6300 and a 7870, that would be a better build.
So a 6300 CPU and what is the 7870 representing?
AMD Radeon 7870 Video Card.
I will look into both of them now, why would I choose them over my current ones? It seems to be a lower CPU than the current one I have listed. The GPU you have recommended is much pricer also, what would be the advantage of spending the extra money as my original budget I have already exceeded.
Processor: £125.94 (15)
Motherboard: £50.39 (23)
Case: £28.74 (15)
PSU: £27.54 (56)
RAM: £50.69
GPU: £134.99
Well, the 6300 is more than capable of gaming, and the motherboard allows for upgrading to an 8350 later on for your coding needs. As for the 7870, it beats the equivelent nVidia 660 in most benches. Also what games are you playing and can you give us a link to your power supply?
EDIT: Aria PC which I'm assuming you a buying from doesn't say that its 80 + certified, if anyone can find out it is or isn't that would help.
I wasn't able to see if it was 80 + certified, but here is the link...

I also have no idea why or if the PSU needs to be 80 + certified, could you tell me please?
80+ Certified is about how much power is used efficiently in the system. 80+ means better power usage meaning lower power bills and a much safer PC.
Thank you for your help, I will look into an 80+ certified PSU.
Do you think this would do the job?

or something a bit more pricey

probably the second one for that extra wattage for more upgradability later on.
