Hey there everyone, I have recently joined the world of pc gaming, but unfortunately my current pc isn't strong enough to play games. Moreover, I am a bit low on cash and I wanna get right in gaming, so I'm thinking about building this gaming rig which would cost me around $900 and I wanna share it with you guys.. here goes:
Motherboard: ASUS MSA97 LX 2.0
Processor: AMD FX 8350 Black Edition
Cooling: Corsair H60 Liquid cooling
RAM: 16Gb Kingston HyperX blue 1600 Mhz
GPU: GeForce GTX 750 Ti Twin Frozer OC 2Gb
Storage: 1TB Western Digital Green (pre-owned)
Optical Drive: Samsung 224DB x24 DVD Re-Writer
Power Supply: Novatech 500W ATX
Case: Aerocool Xpredator X1 White Edition
That is what I'm willing to build, if you have any ideas/improvements please let me know and try to have the prices in the same range.
If it's a pure gaming build then you don't need 16GB of RAM. get 8GB (2x4GB sticks) and save some money. The H60 is not worth it, get an air cooler like the 212 evo instead and save some money. Don't cheap out on the PSU, I've never heard of novatech before but from what I could find about that PSU it's not a good idea. <20A on the +12V rail is going to be a problem with many many GPUs. Get a 450W - 550W Seasonic or Corsair PSU instead, it will be worth it in the long run and you're not putting your components at risk. The case seems fine, if you can find something that's cheaper and that has all the features you need then maybe safe a couple of bucks there, but it's not going to make a huge difference.
So, put the money you saved on RAM and the H60 towards the better PSU and see if you can afford a gtx 760 or R9 270x or an R9 280.
Also, for future build suggestions I'd recommend using pcpartpicker.com. It makes it way easier to assess your whole build and to make edits while sticking with the same kind of budget.
I would most likely recommend avoiding the R9 270x and picking up a regular R9 270 instead since the 270x is just an overclocked 270. Of course, the 270x's are probably binned higher than the 270's, so you could probably get a higher overclock.
Personally, that build is badly out of balance. So here is my two cents. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Freaksamcker/saved/4Oj7 Really, no need for a 8350 if all your going to push is a 750. How about a decent, flexible little gaming instead? 1. If purchasing a 8350 to push a 750 is a waste of money. 2. 970 mb is not the best boards for such a processor due to power delivery and such. So going with a 6 core 6300 is a reasonable and cost effective move. It will perform well and do what you need it to plus keep your cost down. 3. No reason to even consider a 750 when 270s or soo cheap and much better performer all around. My build still had room to be built even cheaper while keeping the roughly the same performance levels. If your absolutely want a 8350 build someone can put one together for you also.
One with a eight core......... and you can crossfire later on. A little note there are some smoking great deals on amd cards right now. Well worth purchasing.
My advice ~ lower end cpu, better gpu (gtx760/270x minimum), decent psu, cm212 cpu cooler, 8gb ram instead of 16gb, cheaper case - bitfenix merc, fractal core etc.

Thanks everyone for your help but I've build this pc to make it able to run watchdogs.. the cpu is the one they recommended from amd and they ask for 8Gb of RAM so shouldn't I exceed that? yes you are all right ill change my PSU, oh and by the way i live in saudi arabia, a tax free country wohooo! i swear this tax-free policy saves me TONS of money :D ill edit my build and repost another one, Thanks again :D
Thanks for your advice :) im using the liquid cooling cuz the 8350 generates alot of heat and most of the builds saw for it, no one used a standard heatsink, so what do you think?
well i aint that gpu expert xD but i need something freaking powerful! :D oh btw, my brother is an engineer and he'll be using CAD and stuff so i think he would need the 16 GB of ram.. whatever you guys say :p
Lol man i swear everything here is cheaper by atleast 15%.. this country has oil more anything.. its cheaper than water!!! A 95% pure gasoline costs like 16 cents :p you gotta love this place xD
