PC Build Feedback

Hi! I was wondering if anybody had any edit suggestions to my parts list of my first PC build. I will start out by using this with no GPU to run a home Minecraft server with ubuntu server. I expect around 2-3 players pretty consistently with a possibility of it getting up to 20 players at times. After the server dies, I plan to insert the GPU and use it as my gaming PC. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you!

You’re pretty much all set, there’s not much different to recommend here. I didn’t get there part where you say “when the server dies I’ll add the GPU” though.

Oh okay, thanks for the feedback. To clarify, I meant when people stop playing on the server I’ll add the GPU.

That 4060 Ti 8GB has too little VRAM. See if you can squeeze yourself to the 16 GB version that is $30-$40 more, or, even better, a 7800 XT for $479.

CPU, nothing wrong with it but I personally would add $50 for a 7900 - the extra cores are a welcome addition and the 7900 already comes with a decent stock cooler, not to mention a much better power profile making cooling easier.

The Liquid cooler is a nice option but completely unnecessary when a Peerless Assassin does the job just fine for $50 less.

Memory, I would go with a 32GB 6000MT/s @ CL30 for ~$50 less, it’s a negligible performance difference for 66% of the price.

Rest of the build looks solid.

Okay, thanks for the advice.

I would use a air cooler and use cheaper fan (arctic p12/p14), no extra RGB cost.

I agree with @oolmfoo for swapping to air cooling. I just rebuilt 4 systems with the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120. 35 bucks and gets the job done well.
