PC Black Screen and fans go full speed when playing games

No card is the same, just like cpus and other things. As I said throwing it out there just in case.

Capacitors are once again a easy check(look and see if bulging or leaking…if not then all good)

Rule of thumb he hasn’t get back to me yet so how about you stop with the mocking. Why does everyone have to feel like they need to fight over anything when there is no need. Just trying to help the person and leave it at that.

Memo to self: Nope.

Hello everyone please keep the discussion cordial and respectful of each other

I may be mistaking, but my eye did caught a few “Corsair psu → bad” while I was scrolling reddit a few month ago.

This sounds like a TDR issue where it’s not stable at factory OC clocks. Downclock the GPU and memory. You might have gotten a lemon GPU that can’t hit it’s out of the box clock speeds.

I want to apologize for coming off harsh in my responses. It was not my intention.

Your question about power sockets and power bars is valid, I don’t disagree with that. It is a good question.

Newcomers that may not know about capacitors, if they try to touch them, they could get hurt since they do store electrical charges. That was my main concern and I could have been clearer on that point.

Again, I apologize for any harshness.

check the caps on the motherboard

Hmm. Is it reasonable that you could have a blown capacitor and still have a functional computer, after reboot, though? I feel like the answer is “probably not”.

The actual answer is “it depends”. Either way, a newcomer or someone that isn’t electrically inclined shouldn’t be looking for that. That’s where RMA’s come into play. I know Asus has been shit recently, but ASSUME ignorance. FOR SAFETY.

I’ve had an issue where the screen goes black & fans ramp 100%.
Re-seating the gpu power cables would fix it.
The issue would resurface after moving my computer.
For me the source of the issue was very little tolerance for cable routing, leading to bad mating between pcie power connectors
