Patreon reCAPTCHA not working?

Is anyone else unable to sign in to Patreon because according to Google they don’t know what a street sign looks like?

I’ve tried a few times in a row and been unable convince them I am human…

Fair play for a free service to keep operating costs down but when you’re a paying customer who has signed in from this IP address many times before it is a bit on the nose.

Anyone else having this issue or have any tips? (I’m not even using a VPN…)

I read somewhere it was crowdsourcing human recognition to feed AI’s with positive hit data.
Are we feeding the overlord ?

Yes, I believe we are feeding the overlord and it would be nice to be able to opt out…

Self driving cars need thousands of labelled pictures for their machine learning algorithms. Google is working on self driving cars. Go figure

The old-school “distorted characters” captchas were used for digitalizing books. Each word was fed to multiple OCR engines and if they disagreed it was up to humans to decipher them.
