Parts From UK or USA

I'm going to build a PC soon and have already chosen the parts  and I am not sure if I should buy it from the USA and pay for shipping or buy from the UK and pay extra for the parts. I just checked how much the parts would be from both and the if i bought the parts from the UK it would cost £93 more than if it was bought from the USA.

Has anyone here bought lots of parts from the US and had them shipped from the UK?

How much does it cost?

Could the parts get damaged during shipping?

I do not believe purchasing parts from the USA is a particularly good idea. If anything is damaged, you have to return them at your own expense. Also, Customs and Excise will often inspect parcels from outside the EU and charge you upwards of £50+ per parcel to complete the delivery. 

I bought a pair of boots from the USA, and Customs charged me £40 before they released them and allowed them to be delivered.
