Partitioning 9950X3D

Intention

Have games run on the x3d die while my workload or browser runs using the non-x3d die in the background. Lastly, not sure if it is possible to force the x3d die group to use the actual gpu and the non-x3d die group to only use the igpu.

Idea

Have 3 cgroups, one that can use all the processors, one (ungrouped) that is limited to use the x3d processors, and one that is limited to the non-x3d processors.

Status

Not sure if there’s a software that already does this, so definitely let me know if there’s tools I can use that already does this. Also, I would like to hear what other resource should I partition.

Is this not already optimized automatically? iGPU aside, of course - if you plug a monitor into that iGPU would that meet your requirement?

Curious, I’ve never tried having both gpu with monitors on them, though I do use the igpu for encoding.

What have you played around with so far?
