Can you give the output of:
lspci | grep -i VGA
and also your kernel log?
Additionally, any information you have about your graphics hardware and drivers would be useful.
Its not the VGA adapter that isn't working, its the Marvell 88SE9485 SAS controller on the motherboard.
lspci -nnk shows the controller but the mvsas doesnt bind to it - thats the problem?
You may need to update the firmware, I had to do that with an older 10gbe adapter.
Have you tried a newer kernel? It doesn't look like 3.13 supports the hardware. So I checked 3.16 and it looks like hardware support was added. So try a kernel 3.16 or newer.
