i have a p8-z77 deluxe asus motherboard it is thunder bolt capable but you need the thunderboltex adapter to get thunder bolt where can i get this?????????????????????????????????????????
ASUS has several P8-Z77 (the z77i, z77i/WD and z77-v) deluxe boards. Assuming P8-Z77-V Deluxe, I see nothing on ASUS's site about Thunderbolt on that board. However, the P8-z77-V Premium and Pro/Thunderbolt boards have Thunderbolt

The thing isn't even on ASUS's site... searched Amazon and Newegg and came up empty. Given the price of $200 according to various articles, the $40 cables, and the apparant scarce availability, better to use USB 3, or e-SATA.

Yeah, the way I see it unless its vital, you might as well wait until your next build for thunderbolt if you're using something similar to z77 and have no thunderbolt. I'm still surprised at how fast usb 3 is every time I use it, cant see myself needing thunderbolt...yet.
