you can claim your $30 a lot of people that purchased through Amazon are able to get a 20% refund wish equivalent to 60 or $70 depending on the card
a couple people on NewEgg are also getting 10%
I paid $389 for mine

it's not enough. nvidia made what? billions off of the 970? small % of the owners getting 30-70$ is a drop in the bucket and they will still have made a huge profit off of the scam.
Even at 10% of a refund from Newegg if that's how it's actually going to be
I'm still coming back about $40.

that's pretty cool considering even at 4K a lot of my games aren't suuuper bad....
usually I just click it back down to 1080p
I just got off the phone with Newegg and the representative told me that at the moment they are still investigating and figuring out what they have to do through the nvidia side
but if you did purchase through Newegg they will take down your order number
and email you more information later once they figure it out
Apparently only people in the USA get the 30$. Pretty crappy for everyone else!
