I'm going to be buying a FX 6300 for Christmas, and was just wondering if there is a good guide for overclocking. I will probably be using a CM Hyper 212 Evo for cooling, and my mobo will be the Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard.

Heh, I spent a good 10 minutes writing up a guide for you, but when I went to submit it the site went down unfortunately. Too lazy to write it again, but google OC tips for AMD FX series chips, make note you should be able to OC this chip to 4.6GHz, possibly up to 5.0GHz.
Yeah, Googling isn't turning up much, but I'm sure I'll find something.
One site overclocked an FX-4300 and 8350 on their review, I think it was Tom's Hardware. Anyway, they just bumped the voltage a little and easily got the 4300 to 5.0Ghz and the 8350 at 4.7( or .8)Ghz. Yours would probably be the same or close.
And you would do that by changing stuff in the bios or what? I'm a total noob when it comes to this.
