OK so I have a sapphire radeon 7750 which has a stock clock of 800Mhz and memory clock of 1125mhz. Whenever I overclock it, my framerate in games has a signigicant drop. It does this no matter how much I overclock it. For example, I usually get about 30-40 Fps in skyrim, 1080p. But when I overclock the Gpu, Gpu memory, or both, it drops to only 6 or 7 Fps. This is the case in all games, and I have tried overclocking with both AMD overdrive and sapphire trixx. Any help is much appreciated.
well with my use of msi afterburner I notice that every other time I overclock with it it sets the card to stock (or the card stocks itself) perhaps yours is doing a powersaving thing instead of stocking. I know some games don't like overclocked cards but i don't think skyrim is one of them. (no personal experience with that glitch.)
