Ever since I got the Windows 10 Tech Preview I have been getting BSODs all the time. I went into my BIOS and reset everything and everything on my computer ran fine. I then said alright and redid my overclock of 4ghz on my 6300 (and no its not my temps. It stays around 50C at full load). Is anyone else having this problem and is there any way to fix it?
I wouldn't let it get that hot under load, AMD says 65 is about the max safe temp. What cooler are you using? It may be time to look into something better or some better case airflow. I have 6300 too and a Noctua NH-D14 and when I had mine at 4.5 I stress tested it for 4-5 hours and never saw over 46C. Mine did the same thing with windows 10 preview though. I couldn't figure it out so I just went back to 8.1.
and no its not my temps. It stays around 70C at full load
For AMD CPUs, 61 is the critical temperature. When they reach that, you get freezes, BSODs and all that stuff.
What you are looking at is socket temperature (which is higher because socket gets less cooling than CPU). You can find actual CPU temperature, for example, under CPU -> Package in HWMonitor
And no, I have 8320 @4GHz running Windows 10 and it runs exactly like it did on 8.
