I have been having issues at 4Ghz with the voltages falling in the usb ports 3.0.I need advice on choosing voltages. is my mother board damaged . I have no such issues while running at stock speed .
Thanks
Have you tested overclocked system with stability testing programs like Prime or LinX or AIDA64?
I had a few years ago Asus Maximus Rampage III, Cooler Master Silent Pro 1000W, two GTX570 in SLI, i7-950 OC@4.02GHz (Vcore 1.28V, QPI 1.35V), no issues. But my friend had had a similar setup, only he had two HD5830 in Crossfire, and every time he connected external HDD to the USB would get BSOD. We had raised Vcore to 1.35V, QPI to 1.40V and solved the BSOD.
I've gotten 4 Ghz at 1.295 V and agian 1.325 V, but make sure your core is cool with proper heatsink. Was running into cooling issues with stock intell cooler.
