Os- oem?

If I'm building a PC does it matter if the OS is OEM or not? For example I want to put Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) into my build, will it work? Could somebody explain the differences for me?

The OEM System Builder packs are what a store like Best Buy would put on your system; there are practically no real differences. They are cheaper, and the exact same OS, so jsut go ahead and get OEM. I have always used them, and Windows has always worked :)

Also, get Windows 8 and "de-suck it" using Logan's tutorial; faster, stronger, etc. All around a better choice; more modern.

Ok I'll go with the OEM thanks. Also, I bought a mediocre gaming rig from newegg that has W8 and I de-sucked it with classic shell so yeah I might use that. Does this look good to you? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ck3/saved/1sZI that pretty much IS my budget I'd like it to be in the $500's but you know thats hard to do for quality.

Replace the 650 with a 7770, and you're golden :)
