Origin

Hey Im new to pc gaming and would like to know a little more about origin.  I realy REALY want bf3  and crysis 3 and the only way to buy them is through origin (legally that is) and I was wondering what you guys have to say about origin.  All I want to do is buy those 2 games from them and was wondering f I could without getting info stolen, malware, or any other bad stuff.  Dont just say origin suks, come up with a reasonable answer.

While origin is not as good as steam or GOG, they are not quite as evil as many people seem to belive. If you really must have BF3, then go for it, just don't expect to find origin hosting too many deep discount sales any time soon.

You will have to use origin, in order to play those games. (for shure multiplayerwise) But I have found something to get past this atleast for battlefield 3. I can't find the tutotrial anymore, but there are tons of it. (just don't use a crack... that's maybe going to close your account) For Crysis 3 I don't know.

It's just a shittier version of Steam, essentially. You can buy games and install them with ease. There is cloud save backup, friend lists (seperate from Steam obviously), your games library (which I might add looks much better than Steam), a store full of mostly EA and Bioware games (which looks and works much worse than Steam). It's not as bad as some people might say, but it just seem to be lacking in everything compared to Steam. So yeah, you probably will have to use Origin to play those games, and Mass Effect series. Though you can get Mass Effect 1 and 2 on Steam, you can't download their DLC's on Steam, as I learned the hard way.

probs to Gabe Newell!
