If it's true, it's rather disturbing. Didn't they already get in trouble for this? You think they would have learned by now.
Basically it seems to be snooping around things it has no reason to snoop on. Undoubtedly EA will come up with something massively intelligent for why this is taking place (innovation!?), that us mere mortals would never understand. It also seems to take note of all your recently installed and uninstalled programs, and sends that information somewhere, probably to EA for 'analysis'.
