Did some searching around on Google but couldnt find any answers for this problem. I just reinstalled Windows 7 on my PC and downloaded Origin. Before I reformatted, I backed up <C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games> so that I wouldn't have to redownload 100GB of games. I have since then copied the folder back to where it belongs. I then installed Origin and logged in. It's asking me to download my games, as if it cant see them installed. What gives? I dont see any menu options to point the game tiles to it's installed dir.
that's what you get for using shitty origin made by shittier ea.
If it's even remotely like steam just install them and it'll find them.
For future reference copy them over then install origin. Not the opposite.
Change the directory to where your games are (you've probably already done this). Then just hit download and it will detect them individually, I had this problem a while back.
rofl yeah, it recognized them as soon as i hit 'install'.... stupid. thanks!
The problem is already resolved but I go about this problem that I start the download for a second the game creates the folder and you just copy over it. Then you resume the download Origin will detect the data and just race to the end of the download. Origin isn't as bad as everyone says anymore. ;)
