Optimal settings for 7970

Hello, I recently bought a 7970 to mine litecoins using reaper, and I am only getting about 400 kh/s. What settings should I use to get it higher, as I heard it is possible.

Take a look at what some of the settings are on this table. Use those as a base line then fine tune your settings after that.

Tried switching to cgminer and trying some of the settings, but still only around 400-500 kh/s.

well what is your core clock at, clock speed can make a big diff. mem clock doesnt matter as much so you can put that at minimum to save on your thermals.

i would assume you are using cgminer correct? post your settings and maybe we can help you tweak them to where you are getting at least 600 kh/s

your kh/s also greatly depends on what you are running and from what i can see the 7970 seems to run alot better on cgminer 2.11.3 or newer, people getting upwards of 700 kh/s with that at clock of 1100 mhz so yea.

I am trying to run cgminer but when I run it the pool says I get around 75 kh/s but I actually get around 450.

yea sometimes the pool doesnt accurately say what you are running, but all that matters is what you are runing in the script

Don't worry what pool says. It doesn't matter. All that matters is what it says in the command prompt locally, the pool only cares about shares.

I've played around with the config and I'm getting around 530-550 kh/s on a 7970. It's stock at 1100 for core clock, and 1500 for memory clock. 

My config setup is:

worksize 256

aggression 13

threads_per_gpu 1

sharethreads 18

lookup_gap 2

gpu_thread_concurrency 11264

I have tried setting concurrency higher but anything higher than what I have now gets me lower kh/s. Played with threads per gpu and sharethreads, this setup seems to be the fastest I can get. If I increase aggression, I get a lot of gpu errors.

I'm runnig two 7970s and I just changed to what MadRussian posted and am getting the same, which is the best so far that I have got.

Are you guys using cgminer or reaper?

I'm using reaper, I found it a lot easier to use.
