Im trying to get my friends into pc gaming and they dont want over the top prices. I dont need overclocking or any thing it basically needs to be able to run anything but it doesnt need to overclock or anything fancy

a good AMD processor for the money on a HARD budget is the Athlon 860k. this is about $90 dollars. however you need a dedicated GPU.
a Good Intel CPU is a i5 4690. this is about 230 bucks this has an IGPU built in but this is not suitable for gaming.
this is what the kill your pc series is for. go there and get a starting point. the APU's are pretty legit
